President Message for November

This is a busy time of year for the Young at Heart, we have are biggest even coming on Friday Nov 3 and Saturday Nov 4th. The Holiday Craft Fair will have at least, 200 vendors/artist; using the entire Douglas County Community/Senior Center. We have many raffles prizes that have been donated as well as baskets/gift items from our vendors. Our second project is our Holiday Gift Bags for our home bound seniors (Meals on Wheels), homemakers, Carson Valley Senior Living (Medicaid/Memory Care)
President's Message

Where has the time gone? As we head into August, the Young of Heart will be placing a new board. This is the first time we have had seven people running for office, which is great as we are always seeking new ideas and open minds. Trunk Sell event is in September! Have you been saving your items to sell in the parking lot? Anything goes, see Jane Alley on Thursdays and pick your spot now before the good spots are gone. We have 60 locations and it's the last time until April of 2018. Holiday

Summer is just around the corner and what other way to kick this off is to enjoy a BBQ for the family on July 8th from 11 until 2pm, at the Douglas County Senior Center. This is sponsored by the Young at Heart, all YAH members and seniors over sixty will be FREE, and everyone else will be $5.00. Gather your family; come out for fun, games and food, all activities will be on the patio where we can enjoy the beautiful mountains and the new patio furniture.
